Beverly Hills/Morgan Park is home to many talented musicians and even more people who appreciate good music. The BAPA Porch Concert Series brings a variety of music to front porches throughout the community. Neighbors can attend the free concert or stream the concert via Facebook, and a virtual tip jar is set-up to support the musicians. An exciting way to see the neighborhood, harness sleuthing skills, and get in some active outdoor time with family and friends, BAPA’s History Mystery Bike Adventure offers an all new puzzle-solving challenge that launches in June. Download the clue sheet and solve the History Mystery puzzle any time before Oct. 1. Take a photo of your completed challenge and email to email@example.com. Prize winners will be drawn at-random from submissions with the correct puzzle solution. Clues cover a wide range of topics specific to the neighborhood, from architecture and history, to local businesses and everyday sights. Spend the summer discovering what makes the Beverly/Morgan Park community so unique. BAPA encourages bicyclists to always practice bike safety and etiquette when riding. Free.

Inspired by the exceptional beauty of the Beverly/Morgan Park community BAPA’s Beverly/Morgan Park Garden Walk showcases exceptional private gardens and public spaces. The Garden Walk begins with check-in at the Edna White Community Garden where people are welcome to walk among the beautiful plantings and visit the bee observatory. Each garden location is distinctive for its style, variety of plantings, and unique beauty. During your visits, enjoy food and beverage tastings, demonstrations, and entertainment. No matter whether you’re going home to a sunny or shady yard, a mature garden or a freshly dug flower bed, you’ll be inspired by the hard work, creative vision and delight shared by the featured gardeners.
Tickets: $25 in advance and $30 on the day of the event.

Races start at 8 a.m.
BAPA’s 2021 Ridge Run has been pushed back to Labor Day weekend to maximize safety during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Some 3,000 athletes from around Chicagoland compete in BAPA’s annual Ridge Run, Chicago’s oldest neighborhood 10K race. Running events include: 10K run, 5K run/walk, 10K/5K Challenge and Youth Mile with the start and finish at Ridge Park, 9625 S. Longwood Dr.
Long recognized as one of the city’s friendliest races, with Beverly/Morgan Park neighbors lining the route, playing motivating music, cheering the runners and offering water.
All participants in the official races who register by August 1 are guaranteed to receive a Ridge Run shirt and goodie bag. Light post-race refreshments are available for registered participants. Local vendors will be onsite selling food and beverages.
Race results will be based on B-tag start and B-tag finish times only.
The top three winners, male and female, in the 10K, 5K run and 10K/5K Challenge are awarded prizes. Age group winners in the 10K and 5K run are awarded medals. Age groups range from age 8 and under to age 80 and over for the 5K and age 14 and under to age 80 and over for the 10K. The Youth Mile is open to ages 6 to 10. The Youth Mile is not a timed race; the top 3 boy and girl finishers will be recognized as winners.

The Beverly Area Planning Association invites you to step inside several outstanding private residences and a must-see institution on its annual Beverly Hills/Morgan Park Home Tour.
One of Chicagoland’s oldest and best tours inside private residences, BAPA’s event showcases homes in the heart of the Ridge Historic District and nestled among the hills of Beverly/Morgan Park. You’ll be treated to a variety of interior designs, architecturally significant buildings, and beautiful landscapes. Enjoy fun and informative experiences food and beverage tastings, demonstrations and entertainment.
Please allow at least 2.5 hours to complete your tour. Booties and booklets are required to visit homes and must be picked up by 3 p.m. Note: trolley service is no longer available. Tickets: $30 in advance or $35 on the day of the event

Take a stroll through the 99th Street and 103rd Street shopping district to see what’s trending and who’s spending at the annual Sip & Shop Girls Night Out. The shops are pulling out the stops for a great evening, and shoppers can expect to be treated enjoy debuts of fall lines of clothing and jewelry, and some clever and cost-saving sales. Adding to the fun are demonstrations, specialty cocktail, beer and wine tastings, and a variety of delectable hors d’oeuvres and small bites.
