BAPA works with the 22nd District Police Station on a variety of community safety initiatives and helps to keep local concerns on the radar with law enforcement agencies. Nosy neighbors deter crime. Education
BAPA understands the importance of strong schools in attracting families to our neighborhood. We promote all of our local public and private schools; address education issues that are critical to community stability; and encourage involvement in schools and Local School Councils. As an advocate for our neighborhood schools, BAPA has piloted a Parent Mentor program at Barnard Elementary, in which parents regularly assist in classrooms. We are also developing BAPA Parent University, an outreach program.

Beautification
It was the glacial ridge, forests and meadows that attracted settlers to the Beverly area in the late 1800s. They built farms, estates and homes to complement the landscape. Though the Barnard Seed Company’s flower farms and sprawling Thomas Morgan estate are long gone, the beauty they inspired is still nurtured by our neighbors.
