More than 30 retailers from the 103rd St and 99th St business districts opened their doors for an evening of retail therapy for Sip & Shop on Thursday, September 14, 2023.

The festivities began at 5:30 pm when guests checked in at BAPA’s offices, located at 1744 W. 99th St. Sipping, shopping, chatting, and snacking continued until 9 pm along 99th and 103rd Streets. The evening will end with an after party at Calabria Imports, 1905 W. 103rd St., from 8:30 to 10 pm.

Co-sponsored by BAPA and the Morgan Park Beverly Hills Business Association each year, Sip & Shop features specialty beverages and small bites while shoppers peruse special sales, fall merchandise, and the latest trends. 

Raffle Basket Winners

Congratulations to the winners of the Sip & Shop raffle! Nora Conroy of the MPBHBA and Davia Douglas of BAPA randomly selected four winners from the basket of submissions. Every Sip & Shop attendee got one automatic entry, and shoppers also received one entry from each store where they made a purchase. The winning ticket numbers are:

From a mobile coffee cart in 2019, AndySunflower Café has grown to two in-store locations: inside Ain’t She Sweet Café at 9920 S. Western Ave., and the Fulton Market District’s Taste 222. Andy releases new drink menus frequently, and brews some of the best espresso around. AndySunflower Café will be serving beverages in Bellē Up for Sip & Shop.

Belle Up Boutique

Calabria Imports

Calabria Imports is a one-stop-shop for all delicious Italian food needs. A grocer, deli, caterer, and food truck, Calabria Imports has been serving up the best-tasting Italian foods since 1975. Check out “The Freddy,” a homemade Italian sausage patty accompanied by sweet peppers, melted mozzarella cheese, and a homemade red sauce; the famed sandwich was featured on The Food Network and The Sandwich King.

Cetta is Betta Event Planning

A gem in our neighborhood, this independent bookstore offers a wide variety of reading materials and gift items. Located at 10324 S. Western Ave., Bookie's will participate in this year's Sip & Shop with a pop-up at Two Mile.

Bricktop Barbershop

9917 S. Walden Pkwy. Opening soon on Walden, this barbershop is owned by local resident Matt Carey. He’s worked as a barber for four years and recently decided to have a go at his own shop. The space will be next door to Cardinalis Cardinalis, creating a shopping hub for those with masculine tastes.
