The doors are open this fall at the Beverly Arts Center (BAC), 2407 W. 111th St., and fans of music, art, and movies and music are invited to attend this month’s offerings.
Live in the Baffes Theater are two popular tribute bands. Marrakesh Express: A Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young Experience, performs Sat., Oct. 9, 7:30 p.m. The Travellin Band: A Tribute to Creedence Clearwater Revival, plays Sat., Oct. 23, 7:30 p.m. Concert tickets are $30.
An exhibit of paintings and drawings by Victoria Loeb continues through Oct. 16 in the BAC’s Simmerling Gallery. The opening reception for a group exhibit of works by artists from the Chicago Alliance of Visual Artists (CAVA) is Fri., Oct. 22, 6 to 8 p.m. CAVA serves artists over age 50, and the exhibit features work by members. Gallery admission is free. Contact the BAC for gallery hours.
BACinema brings back the spooky cooky Rocky Horror Picture Show, live and shadow cast, on Halloween weekend, Sat., Oct. 30, 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door. Costumes are encouraged; costume and prop kits are available for $10.
