Get your shopping shoes on and grab your besties — Sip & Shop 2022 is on Thurs., Sept. 15, with shopping from 5:30 to 9 p.m. and an after party from 7:30 to 10 p.m.
Enjoy perusing the wares of more than 20 shops and vendors while sipping and socializing at the businesses in the 99th Street and 103rd Street train station shopping districts. Co-sponsored by BAPA and the Morgan Park Beverly Hills Business Association, the event promised to be the not-to-be-missed shopping spree of the fall season. Sip on beverages and sample small bites while checking out special sales, fall merchandise, and what’s trending on the local shopping scene.
“The annual Sip & Shop has become a favorite event in the neighborhood because of the high energy at each shop along the way,” said BAPA Executive Director Mary Jo Viero. “It’s a win-win-win for women who love to sip, shop, and socialize! The event brings people from both the neighborhood and our surrounding communities. It showcases our wonderful small businesses and the unique items that they offer. I have heard attendees say ‘I never knew this store was here! I am so glad I discovered it.’”
Caroline Connors, Executive Director of the Morgan Park Beverly Hills Business Association feels the event is integral to connecting shoppers and store owners in an increasingly digital age.
“Sip & Shop is a great way to showcase the unique businesses in the commercial districts along the Rock Island Metra line and facilitate the personal connection between shopkeepers and customers that so many of us are looking for,” she said. “It’s an event that brings residents together for a fun evening in the neighborhood while supporting our local businesses.”
Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door; head to bapa.org to purchase a ticket for yourself and your friends and family.
The Sip and Shop begins this year on 103rd Street. Check-in/ticket purchases will be at RMH Lifestyles, 1804 W. 103rd St., starting at 5:30 p.m. The after-shopping fun continues from 7:30 to 10 p.m. at 1742 W. 99th Street, cash bar.
