Every regional architectural style from the Victorian era through World War II is represented in Beverly/Morgan Park. Our homes are as much about our community pride as our family lives. BAPA fosters historic preservation and promotes preservation incentive/assistance programs offered by the city. Through its property preservation efforts, BAPA is proactive in addressing housing issues that affect individual blocks and the community as a whole.

Historic District
Beverly/Morgan Park is home to the Ridge Historic District, one of the largest urban districts on the National Register of Historic Places, three Chicago Historic Districts (the Longwood Drive District, Water Burley Griffin Place, and the Historic Train Station District), and individual Chicago Landmark properties. Our neighbors are stewards of some of Chicago’s most distinctive architecture, and we take pride in our historic districts.

Property Preservation
BAPA staff works with local and city agencies to identify problem properties and code violations. Then BAPA coordinates with property owners to get issues corrected or resolved, or, when necessary, pursue problem properties through building court.
