Park 581 – The Prairie

The Park 581 Park Advisory Council (PAC) will hold its monthly meeting Tues., May 9, 6:30 p.m., Kennedy Park Fieldhouse, 11320 S. Western. All are welcome.

The Park Event Planning Committee held its first kite flying event in March at The Prairie with nearly 40 participants and hosted an Earth Day Clean & Green Park Clean-Up. The Garden Committee, chaired by Dorothy Chandler, added mulch around 48 trees in The Prairie that day.

The Park 581 trees were nicely trimmed by the Openlands Treekeepers, assisted by the Garden Committee with permission from Park Supervisor Jennifer Cronin. It was very educational. Thank you to Cronin and all the PAC members, committees, and community volunteers for being there whenever needed. This is what community is all about.
