The Cosme PAC presents a Flashlight Candy Cane Hunt on the first day of winter, Wed., Dec. 21, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m., meeting at Cosme Park, 9201 S. Longwood Dr. Hot cocoa will be provided; bring your own flashlight.
The Park 581 PAC will meet Tues., Dec. 13, 6:30 p.m., Kennedy Park Fieldhouse, 11320 S. Western. The meeting includes mini pre-holiday celebration with cookies and hot chocolate to start off the Christmas season as we also end the PAC year. Park 581 volunteers have started work on a Community Garden at the park, 116th and Oakley Avenue. The first phase – clean up, tree trimming, soil amendment, and planting of bulbs and pollinator plants – is completed.
