PAC News Cosme Park

Kick off your St. Patrick’s Day celebration with the Leprechaun Chase and other activities at Maggie Cosme Park, 9201 S. Longwood Dr., Sat., Mar. 11. The suggested donation is $5 for the Maggie Cosme Park Advisory Council which is dedicated to the inclusivity and betterment of the park.  

Children of all ages are encouraged to dress in green outfits and Irish costumes for face painting, games and two Leprechaun Chase options, The Wee Chase once around Cosme Park for kids age 7 and under at 11 a.m., or the Kiddo Chase twice around the park for kids ages 8 to 12 at 11:15 a.m.  Lecprechaun Chase registration is free, but participants must be registered under the events tab at  https://linktr.ee/cosmeparkadvisorycouncil.  

 

Park 581 PAC will meet in person Tues., Mar. 14, Kennedy Park Fieldhouse, 113th and Western.  The official park name of The Prairie is finally in process and they hope to hear something by next month. Neighbors of Park 581 should be on the lookout for another community survey about park improvements. The PAC is waiting to hear about two grants that are pending and applying for two additional grants for proposed community gardens. The PAC is hopeful and excited for tangible changes for Park #581 this year. Community input, assistance, and donations will be needed.
