Park #581
Park #581 (“The Prairie”) at 116th and Oakley had a fun-filled June with activities that included a park clean-up, Meet & Greet Picnic, and an amazing porch concert hosted by BAPA, which the entire Park 581 community and surrounding neighbors enjoyed.
At the June meeting, PAC 581 held a mini retirement celebration for park supervisor Jennifer Cronin.
“We truly appreciated Jennifer’s guidance and support as we started our PAC nearly 2 years ago. She will be greatly missed, but we wish her all the best in her well-deserved retirement,” said PAC member Ivette Williams.
The PAC will host a park clean-up Wed., July 5 starting at 9 a.m. Anyone wishing to volunteer can email Park581.Oakley@gmail.com. 19th Ward Ald. Matt O’Shea hosts Jazz in the Park at Park #581 Thurs., July 27. Flyer with details will be circulated to park neighbors.
There is no PAC #581 meeting in July; the next meeting is Tues., Aug. 8, 6:30 p.m., Kennedy Park Fieldhouse, 113th and Western.
