Now It’s Yours Consignment Offers Unique Treasures

By Kristin Boza

Now It’s Yours Consignment, 1816 W. 103rd St., offers buyers and sellers alike a unique opportunity to find treasures among its shelves. Mother/daughter duo and Beverly/Morgan Park residents Denise Smith and Adoria (Dora) Thomas own the shop and revel in the thrill of finding unique items. They want to bring that same energy to their customers by stocking the store with one-of-a-kind items.

“My dream has always been to open a consignment store in Beverly,” Smith said. “This neighborhood reminds you of a small town of its own, and everyone here is so down to earth. We want to do our best to serve the community and we pride ourselves on having a clean, coordinated store with fun music and an upscale, funky feeling.”

Smith says the community response has been overwhelmingly positive. “We really want to roll out the red carpet for our customers and help them find unique items and even help them bring them out to their cars,” Smith said.

“My mom and I have a great relationship and working together is so fun,” Thomas said. “We’re learning so much from each other and bring different perspectives about what our customers may want to see in the store.”

Now It’s Yours carries a wide range of home décor, women’s and men’s clothing, jewelry, and other accessories at affordable prices.

“Dora and I love to consign and we love vintage shops because you can find such different things that you can’t find anywhere else,” Smith said. “Every item is decently priced so our customers can keep coming back to find nice quality pieces without sky-high prices.”

For consigners, items will be displayed on the showroom floor and website,, for 60 days. After 60 days, consigners can pick up unsold items, or the shop will either make them store merchandise or donate them as they see fit. When an item is sold, the consigner receives 40 percent of the sale price, either in the form of a check or store credit.

Consigners are asked to ensure all pieces are clean, in good condition, and complete. Now It’s Yours Consignment accepts clothing, furniture, wall décor, dishware, shoes, outerwear, purses, paintings/pictures, jewelry, accessories, lamps, and vintage items. They do not accept electronics, kitchen utensils/pots/pans, bedding, children’s clothing, toys, curtains, or appliances.

December stock includes a lot of winter items, as well as items with a Christmas theme.

Now It’s Yours Consignment is open Tues. through Fri., 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sat., 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sun., 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Follow them on Instagram @_nowitsyoursllc.
