New Neighbors: Sean and Chevon LeDree

By Kristin Boza

Since May, Sean and Chevon LeDree, along with their husky puppy Lady, have lived in Beverly/Morgan Park and are eagerly exploring what their new neighborhood has to offer.

Longtime members of Salem Baptist Church in Pullman, the LeDrees are eager to get involved in a similarly familial community here with all Beverly/Morgan Park has to offer. When not working for Berkeley National Lab in Berkeley, Calif. or studying to earn her MBA this month, Chevon enjoys traveling and photography. Sean works for Gartner IT Research and enjoys rooting foe all Chicago sports teams.

“We love the diversity of the community, the small boutique stores, and being able to walk around the neighborhood and enjoy its beauty,” Chevon said.

So far, their favorite stops include Afro Joe’s, Belle Up Boutique, Beverly Phono Mart, Root Consignment Company, and Now It’s Yours Consignment. “We love these stores because they are unique in their own right. Also, because they offer great products, experiences, and an enjoyable atmosphere,” she said.
