Meet BAPA’s Newest Board Member: Quinn Donnelly

By Susan Baird

It’s always interesting when there are changes at the helm. This is an introduction to BAPA’s newest board members, Tim McSweeney and Quinn Donnelly. McSweeney and Donnelly were both added to the Board of Directors earlier this year.

Quinn Donnelly was born and reared in Beverly/Morgan Park. He obtained a law degree from John Marshall Law School and currently practices law. He lives here with his wife Maria, originally from the DC/Virginia area, and their three children.

After he returned to the village, Donnelly joined BAPA, enjoyed the Porch Concerts, and other events that inspired him to become a board member. He believes BAPA builds unity within the community, which helps maintain the village’s welcoming tight-knit vibe. Donnelly’s goal as a board member is to strengthen the organization and increase engagement within the neighborhood, particularly focusing on its wonderfully rich diversity. He sees a need to revitalize some areas, focusing on small businesses and encouraging residents to buy locally.

He wants to help maintain BAPA’s excellent reputation and invite more newcomers, as long-time residents age or move away.

Donnelly enjoys camping, swimming, and skiing with his family, and running the Ridge Run while pushing his little ones! He also does restoration and woodwork and is even known to help his neighbors with their projects. He observes that it’s a testament to the strength of the village that people return here with their own families. With this in mind, he wants to inspire others to become involved with BAPA to help maintain this special village within the city.

It will be fascinating to see how these thoughtful and talented men will further contribute to BAPA.
