Lend a Hand (and a Broom) to Spring Clean & Green

BAPA is recruiting volunteers for the annual community-wide Clean & Green on Sat., Apr. 23. This year two dozen locations including parks, schools, and Metra stations, have been selected for special attention from community volunteers. Assemble a group or join a group already signed up to work at spot where you want to help. Volunteers are asked to check out the map https://bapa.org/wp-content/uploads/Clean-and-Green-flyer-with-map-2022.pdf  then email bapa@bapa.org with the location and number of people in your group by Wed., Apr. 20. Student volunteers can earn community service hours. Volunteers are asked to bring gardening gloves and tools, if possible; rakes, shovels, brooms and garbage bags will be provided by the 19th Ward office. The Clean and Green is organized by BAPA with support from the 19th Ward Office of Ald. Matt O’Shea, and the Chicago Department of Streets and Sanitation. For more information contact BAPA, bapa@bapa.org or 773-233-3100.
