Get in the groove with DJ Jon from Beverly Records spins on the patio this summer for Vinyl Thursdays, 6 to 9 p.m., at Nicky’s of Beverly, 105th and Western.  

The Beverly Art Center’s popular Music Mondays free concert series continues in the BAC Courtyard. 2407 W. 111th St., where music lovers bring gather from 7 to 9 p.m. to enjoy the diverse sounds of the musical acts. This month’s line-up: July 5, Holden & Co., jazz and R&B; July 12, Caliente Old School, Latin, jazz, rock, salsa and Motown; July 19, Matt, Zach & Tom, originals and modern and classic rock; and July 26, The Blend, classic rock. The submission deadline is July 6 for the Chicago Bungalow Association’s 5th Bungalow Garden Contest, open to bungalow owners who are members of CBA. Beverly Arts Center (BAC) Summer Arts Camps are open for children ages 5 to 12 and Tots Camps serve children ages 3 to 5. Camps are offered in two-week sessions with age-appropriate curriculums in dance, film, music, theater and visual arts. AbOUT Art, an exhibit featuring the collective works of LGBTQA+ artists and allies, opens with a reception Fri., July 16, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Beverly Arts Center, 2407 W. 111th St. The exhibit runs through Aug. 28. Gallery admission is free. Info: beverlyartcenter.org or 773-445-3838.  

The Country on Western Music Festival presents country music varieties from alt-country to americana; outlaw to bluegrass; folk to traditional swing, Sat., July 17 and Sun., July 18, Barney Callaghan’s Pub, 10618 S. Western. It’s a Country Music experience that can’t be found anywhere else on the South Side featuring Coyote Riot, South City Revival, Railway Gamblers, Liam Durkin Band, David Quinn, Dallas Ugly, Daya Dorado, and McWhiskey and Shannon Ward.
