Hot Dog Hot Spots in Beverly/Morgan Park

The days of Red’s and Willie’s Wayside Wagon may be long gone, but Beverly/Morgan Park remains a destination neighborhood for summer’s most traditional fare.

Joey’s Red Hots

Since 2018, Anthony Nardo and Nick Iozzo have been looking out for those who want more than the typical mustard and relish on a hotdog at their restaurant Joey’s Red Hots.  Head to 11500 S. Western Ave. to try a delicious chili dog or chili cheese dog.

Janson’s Drive-In

Janson’s Drive-In has been in our community since the late summer of 1960. Over the years, Janson’s became a cherished neighborhood institution, etching itself into the hearts of hot dog and hamburger enthusiasts in the Beverly/Morgan Park area. It had become an irreplaceable piece of local history, with a menu that is synonymous with Chicago’s culinary culture. Janson’s serves the iconic “Chicago Style” hot dog, now featuring the renowned Vienna Beef Brand hot dog,

It is located at the Southwest corner of 99th and Western Ave.

Manzo’s Burger

Manzo’s may be named for its burgers, but their hot dog is not one to be forgotten.  Located at 2353 W. 111th St., Manzo’s is the perfect place for a classic Chicago dog.  The owners, father and son Humberto and Alejandro Claudia, will be celebrating 10 years of business this July and have certainly mastered the Chicago style hot dog in that time.

Nicky’s of Beverly

Nicky’s of Beverly is another local favorite. Paul Kostopanagiotou has been serving the community for over 20 years and moved down the street to a new custom-designed building and patio at 10500 S. Western Ave. a few years ago. Nicky’s proudly serves Vienna Beef Hot Dogs and in addition to the traditional Chicago Style Hot Dog, he offers a unique variation. The American Waygu Dog is made with Snake River Farms 100% American Wagyu beef and spices smoked over hardwood and served on a brioche bun with Chef Alberto’s kimchi slaw.

Fat Tommy’s

Need a hot dog on the go? You can always rely on the Fat Tommy’s stand at Kennedy Park, 11320 W. Western Ave. for a quick bite. Dan Coogan has been serving parkgoers of all ages for the last 33 years with his hot dog stand. You can even build your own hotdog here, with a variety of toppings available to choose from and maybe even a ball game to watch while you eat.
