Holiday Food Drive for Maple Morgan Food Pantry  

You can help the Maple Morgan Park Food Pantry provide holiday meals to area families in need. The holiday food distribution is Fri., Dec. 17, 1 to 3 p.m. at the pantry, 11130 S. Longwood Dr.  Regular distributions are Tuesdays and Fridays, 1 to 3 p.m.  

Many families are expected to be in need of emergency food. The pantry gives a meal with all the trimmings for; each donation of $20 can supply a ham and family meal. Donations of all amounts are appreciated. Send checks to the Maple/Morgan Park Food Pantry, 11030 S. Longwood Dr., Chicago, IL 60643. Donations can be made on the pantry’s website, maplemorganparkfoodpantry.org.   

For individuals and groups interested in making donations of food and other necessities, the pantry needs: hot and cold cereals, bottled water and juices, baby formula, diapers for babies and adults, canned tuna, canned salmon, canned chicken, condiments, corn muffin mix, cranberry sauce, pancake mix and syrup, pasta, pasta sauce, Stove Top dressing, mac and cheese, pork and beans, baked beans, Hormel chili with and without beans, sloppy joe sauce, spam, Chef Boyardee assorted products, boxed sugar, boxed mashed potatoes, hot sauce, milk products, snack bars, tea bags, toothpaste, toothbrushes, bar soap, dish detergent, tissues, almond milk, toilet paper, paper towels.
