Going Green: Earth-Friendly Businesses

On Wed., Apr. 22, the 50th Earth Day will be recognized in countries around the world. Although many events have been cancelled or postponed due to social distancing, we live in a community where neighbors are committed to making Earth Day every day by recycling, reducing our carbon footprint and choosing to use products that are eco-friendly.

Local businesses are also conscientious about doing what’s best for our planet. While stores and restaurants are closed to customers, business owners are offering an array of delivery and curbside pick-up options, so don’t wait to call!

For many households, this is a great time to get around to home projects. If you’re painting and want to be environmentally conscious, check out Calumet Paint and Wallpaper, 12120 S. Western. Certain VOCs are also harmful when inhaled and may pose indoor air quality concerns.
