Gardeners Exchange Extravaganza

Growing your own food can nourish spirits, minds and bodies. We can garden to make nutritious food affordable and to connect with the earth.

Bring yourself, your extra seeds, your wisdom, and gardening equipment you no longer need to the Gardeners Exchange Extravaganza, Sat., Mar. 26, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Morgan Park Presbyterian Church, 2017 W. 110th Pl.  The rain date is Apr. 2.

This event is open for kids and adults, beginners and master gardeners alike. Everything will be put to good use in growing resilient community this season!

People can drop off gardening equipment (pots, tools, soil, etc.) on Sunday mornings prior to the event; leave in the southwest corner of the church parking lot by the brown shed. Contact the church, 773-779-3355, if you need items picked up.

Workshops will cover topics such as basic gardening, garden pests, pollinators and native plants and more.

Community-building activities include creating a common web of life, painting a mural together; creating cards to send to friends, and creating garden blessing items.
