BIKES AND BREWS IS JULY 20.
Bikes and Brews, a festival of beers and pro/am cycling, are on the bill for the Beverly Area Planning Association’s 16th annual Beverly Hills Cycling Classic on Fri., July 20, 2018. The pro/am racing event will feature top riders competing in the Prairie State Cycling Classic’s Intelligentsia Cup, plus an expanded festival serving up beer from local breweries. The start/finish and festival grounds are moving to the St. Barnabas parish parking lot, 10100 South Longwood Drive, and the new 1.54 kilometer criterium course will take riders in a loop through the historic Beverly/Morgan Park neighborhood from Longwood Drive to Seeley Avenue, between 100th and 102nd Streets.
Craft beers from Lagunitas and other favorite breweries including Open Outcry Brewing Company and Horse Thief Hollow will be available for purchase beginning at 4 p.m. The festival will also feature food from local restaurants, a kids’ zone, live music and lots more. The suggested donation for admission to the festival area is $5 and supports BAPA’s community-based programs.
