Eat, Drink & Be Merry  BAPA’s 12 Weeks of Christmas Raffle Returns With New Packages 

 

BAPA’s 12 Weeks of Christmas Raffle 2021 kicks off Oct. 1 when people start competing online for a dozen creative collections of goods, services and meals from Beverly/Morgan Park businesses, each valued at $1500! 

The fun all takes place at bapa.org, and with raffle tickets priced at just $20 each, we’re expecting the competition to be brisk. The first drawing will be held Fri., Oct. 8, 5 p.m., and this year, you can bid not just the week’s raffle package but on ALL the packages being offered through Dec. 23.   

Each package has a theme to maximize the fun as well as the value, and BAPA is purchasing all goods and services, to help bolster the local economy and promote our amazing business community.  

Here’s this month’s 12 Weeks of Christmas raffle lineup: 

Week #1: Mangia! 

Drawing: October 8 

Mangia! is a private party at Franconello’s that use of the private upstairs room and rooftop, with food and bar service, plus a basket of Italian specialties.    

Week #2: Tee Time 

Drawing:  October 15 

This package covers all you need for a great a day of golf at Ridge Country Club. Choose your favorite foursome and plan to play 18 holes on one of Chicago’s most beautiful and historic golf courses. Package includes a pro shop gift certificate, and private lessons. 

Week #3: Be a Guest at Your Holiday Party 

Drawing: October 22 

Imagine it: Delicious foods from Calabria Imports are ready to serve, musician Anthony Massaro is playing your favorite tunes, the ice is clinking in your glass, the doorbell signals the arrival of all your favorite friends, and you don’t have anything to do but enjoy yourself. Cheers! The Be a Guest at Your Holiday Party includes live music, gift certificates for catering and beverages, and prep, serving and clean-up by the Party Pros.  

 Week #4: Thanksgiving Cornucopia 

Drawing: October 29 

Take the tension out of planning Thanksgiving dinner this year! This package covers the whole celebration from holiday decorations from Skippagosh to dessert from Sweet Freaks, and everything in between. Enjoy a Ho-Ka turkey from County Fair Foods, Fancy Pants charcuterie board, centerpiece from Bungalow Floral, beverages from Town Liquor and other fun and festive touches.  

Falling in Line in November 

Week #5: Taste of Beverly gift certificates to nearly 20 local restaurants; drawing Nov. 5. 

Week #6: Luxe Kids’ Party at Little Hoppers Play Space with a ton of extras including treats, pizza, pictures by Sweet Mae Photography, and gift certificate to Made Artisan Collaborative; drawing Nov. 12.  

Week #7:  Beverly Beauty Essentials offering pampering treatments from Beverly Botox Nurse, Holly Carey Beauty, Marlo Salon and Color Me Beauty Bar; drawing Nov. 19.  

Week #8: Retail Round-Up, gift certificates to a dozen local retailers offering everything from books to bikes; drawing Nov. 26 

Wrapping Up December 

Week #9: Bedford Falls at BAC 

Drawing: Dec. 3 

You and 25 friends will have front row seats for a holiday screening of Frank Capra’s classic movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life” at the Beverly Arts Center on Dec. 22, followed by a private party in “Bedford Falls,” complete with a Christmas carol singalong, photo booth, decorations, and refreshments all inspired by this favorite holiday movie.  

Week #10: New Year, New You 

Drawing: Dec. 10 

Good nutrition. Quality sportswear. Rigorous regimens. This package covers everything you need to put you on the path to health and fitness with the help of local businesses in 2022:  Running Excels, Southtown Health Foods, Core Fitness, Treadfit, Barre It All Fitness, Live and Believe, F45, and Bani’s Beets.   

Week #11: Tailgate Touchdown 

Drawing: Dec. 17 

On the South Side, weekends are for watching football, and from kick-off to touchdown, this ultimate tailgate package has fans covered: wings from Pizzeria Deepo, cheeseball and dip platter from Swanson’s, gourmet popcorn from Let’s Get Poppin’, and beer from Open Outcry Brewing Co. and Horse Thief Hollow brewpub. How are you going to serve up your food and beverages? On a custom-made portable bar from RPW Creations.  

Week #12: Dinner by Chef Won Kim 

Drawing: Dec. 23 

Chef and restaurateur Won Kim of Kimski, an eatery featuring Korean Polish street and Pizza Fried Chicken Ice Cream, prepares a private dinner with drinks and extras.   

Get Ready to Raffle 

Here’s how it works: Through the week leading up to Christmas, BAPA will offer prize packages composed of gift certificates, experiences and/or merchandise purchased at full retail price from small businesses and business owners in our community. Each raffle package will be valued at $1500. Check out the prizes and buy your raffle tickets at bapa.org.  All 12 packages go live on Oct. 1, and people can buy tickets for any of the packages until the winning tickets are drawn.  

Ticket purchases for each week’s raffle close at 3 p.m. on Fridays. The prize drawings are at 5 p.m. There is no ticket limit. The final raffle prize will be drawn on Wed., Dec. 23.

BAPA’s first 12 Weeks of Christmas Raffle last year inspired creative collaboration among businesses, with BAPA investing nearly $20,000 in our local economy and promoting the meals, goods and services available right here in Beverly/Morgan Park.
