Property Tax Appeal Assistance Night

Matt O’Shea for a Property Tax Appeal Assistance Night. Staff members from the Cook County Board of Review will be available to help residents complete appeal paperwork and address any questions or concerns. All homeowners are encouraged to attend this meeting. Please bring your tax bill or property index number to complete the paperwork.

The appeal paperwork is very simple and can result in significant savings. There is no fee to file an appeal, and in most cases an attorney is not necessary. Filing an appeal with the Board of Review CANNOT result in an increase in your taxes; the appeal will either reduce your taxes or leave them at the current level.
