The South Side Irish Parade Film Fest is an annual festival that screens Irish films ahead of the South Side Irish Parade. Entering its 5th year, the event explores Irish culture through the lens of cinema. Each movie celebrates Irish directors, creators, and the stories of Irish-American and Irish people. This year’s festival will feature The Secret of Kells and Odd Man Out. Starting at 6PM we will have a pre-show reception for Odd Man Out featuring live Irish music. Following the feature film presentation, join us for a party with drinks, dancing, and live music from A Week Back!
FAMILY MATINEE at 3PM – The Secret of Kells
A young boy in a remote medieval outpost under siege from barbarian raids is beckoned to adventure when a celebrated master illuminator arrives with an ancient book, brimming with secret wisdom and powers.

EVENING FEATURE at 7PM – Odd Man Out
Set in an unnamed Northern Irish city, Odd Man Out is based on the novel of the same title by F.L. Green and stars James Mason as a wounded Irish nationalist leader who attempts to evade police following a failed robbery in Belfast. Before the movie will be a screening of short film, The Space Between Us Directed by Elaine Kennedy.
