Helping small businesses grow and thrive is part of BAPA’s mission. Articles in The Villager spotlight local businesses, share business news, highlight collaborations, and profile owners.
There’s no need to leave the neighborhood—Beverly/Morgan Park has a wide selection of shopping options.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are values that we value within BAPA and throughout our community. In 2023, we partnered with our local business associations to celebrate Black Owned Business Month in August. As part of that initiative, we created an online directory of Black owned businesses. Moving forward, we will continue that work as part of our newly formed 19th Ward Community Connections Committee, and extend our reach.
Look for the BAPA Verified badge! This badge identifies home improvement companies and trades people who have been vetted and are known to be reliable community partners.

About half of BAPA’s budget comes from annual memberships from neighborhood residents and businesses.
The Beverly Area Planning Association (BAPA) is a not-for-profit, community-based alliance of more than a dozen civic and business groups dedicated to serving the historic Beverly Hills/Morgan Park neighborhood of Chicago.
