Bigane Way: Supporting Mother McAuley

In October, members of the Mother McAuley High School community gathered to bless the new “Bigane Way,” a redesigned and repaved back road on campus named in tribute to the Bigane family who generously provided the lead gift for the project. A street sign with the path’s new name was installed.

The Biganes are longtime supporters of McAuley, and “Bigane Way” is part of the school’s Future Ready capital campaign. Alumna Anne Bigane Wilson ’76 served as campaign chair. Her sisters, also alumnae, areKatie ‘78, Sheila ‘79, Meg ‘82 and Julie ‘84. Their donation also honored their parents, the late Edward and Jane Bigane.

During the brief outdoor event, Fr. Larry Donovan from Christ the King parish led the blessing.
