BAPA Sponsor Spotlight: Beverly Companies

By Brian Marchetti

Maintaining a well-kept neighborhood requires the efforts of those who take pride in their homes and the community at large. For more than two decades, Beverly Companies has offered its services to that end in the landscaping and snow removal space not only in Beverly/Morgan Park, but all of Chicagoland.

Founded 24 years ago by James Esposito while he still attended high school, Beverly Companies had its first office location at 103rd and Longwood. Since then, the company has expanded. Its main office is now located in Markham with additional offices in Addison and Chicago.

“We are an outdoor property maintenance and landscaping contractor,” said Tom Marsan, general manager of Beverly Companies. “On top of landscaping we do paving, concrete, irrigation and tree work.”

Beverly Companies offers landscaping services to both residential and commercial properties.

Their snow removal service, however, is reserved for commercial businesses. While they have clients all over Chicago, the majority of their residential work remains here in Beverly/Morgan Park.

As a business that has its roots in the neighborhood, Beverly Companies has done its fair share of sponsorships throughout the area. Though they’ve donated to BAPA in the past, this year was their first having a tent at the Ridge Run.

“Sponsoring the Ridge Run is a great way to contribute and get ourselves in front of people in the neighborhood, to let people know what we do,” Marsan said. “Having the tent was an excellent way to get out there and talk to the runners and see faces that we know and meet new people.”

Though this is the first year Beverly Companies had a tent at the Ridge Run, they have been involved in several local events in the area, including the Beverly Hills Turkey Trot held annually on the Saturday after Thanksgiving. They have also sponsored several youth baseball teams in Evergreen Park and provided clean up services and snow removal along Western Avenue.

Keeping the neighborhood both clean and visually appealing shows how much pride and love the residents of the Beverly/Morgan Park neighborhood have for their community. Having a business like Beverly Companies at hand helps achieve this goal both for home and business owners alike.

“This is where we are based out of and where we still live,” Marsan said. “It’s important to us to provide good service. It’s where we come from and what we represent.”
