BAPA Member Spotlight

Timothy and Julia McSweeney: Southside Support

You may know Timothy and Julia McSweeney for their work with the Southside Irish Parade. But we at BAPA know the McSweeneys for a second reason — their BAPA membership and support.

Tim McSweeney has lived in the Beverly/Morgan Park area for his entire life, and he and Julia became BAPA members once they purchased a home in the neighborhood around 30 years ago.

“My parents have been BAPA members since the early 1970’s,” Tim said.  “Most of our neighbors and friends are BAPA supporters.” Julia’s favorites are the home tour and the garden walk. Tim enjoys the summer porch concerts.  “BAPA is the primary civic organization for our community,” Tim said. “Its longevity, effectiveness, and dedication is proof of their success! BAPA’s focus has always been the viability of our neighborhood. That’s why we support BAPA.”
