What makes a great neighborhood?
Our first thought is great people – who we’re lucky to have here in abundance!
But, unless all of us work together to make Beverly/Morgan Park strong, just having great people is not enough.
However you say it – It Takes a Village. All for One and One for All. Many Hands Make Light Work. – someone has to bring together the village, the all, the hands, the people. For more than 75 years, that someone has been BAPA.
May is a good time to see BAPA at work. Everyone is eager to shake off the winter and get together for BAPA’s Porch Concerts, Home Tour, Ridge Run and Memorial Day Parade. Supporting these events as participants, sponsors, volunteers and contributors makes it possible for BAPA to present the events this months, and our many other events throughout the year.
BAPA does a lot more than events, though that work is not as flashy.
BAPA’s work assists businesses and schools; contributes to neighborhood safety, beauty, and prosperity; supports diversity and historic preservation; and keeps Beverly/Morgan Park on top of the lists when people are searching for a great place to raise a family.
BAPA is reaching out to our neighbors with a reminder of the vital role they play in making Beverly/Morgan Park a place where we all love to live. BAPA depends on membership donations that directly fund our work. BAPA’s programs and events connect our community; engage and empower our neighbors; and celebrate and strengthen our neighborhood.
We hope we can count on you to renew their memberships or join BAPA by using the envelope inserted in the May issue of The Villager or going online to bapa.org/support-bapa where you can renew at your choice of levels or select the option to make your gift in monthly amounts paid automatically.
In order to continue offering important community programs and expand to include meaningful new initiatives, BAPA needs your support. Become a BAPA member today.
