Business professionals and student mentors will share advice on the essentials of team building at How the Best Teams Succeed, session #4 in the Professional ABCs workshop series, Wed., May 18, 7 p.m., Beverly Arts Center (BAC), 2407 W. 111th St.

Founded by neighborhood resident Nick LoMaglio, Advice Beyond the Classroom (ABC) is a unique mentoring enterprise for helping teens find their trajectory for meaningful careers.  The free Professional ABCs workshops series is open to area students ages 14 to 24 interested creating a foundation for their future professional success and formulating a competitive advantage for their professional careers.

“It has been incredible to see students from all different schools in the Beverly area come together and learn to collaborate and network in a professional setting,” LoMaglio said.  “The most exciting part of it all is that we’re just getting started.”

The ABC workshops are both fun and informative, offering interactive presentations and opportunities to network with and learn real-world professional skills and financial literacy basics from successful business persons, as well as college and high school students who have taken active leadership roles in the program.

BAPA and the BAC are partnering with Advice Beyond the Classroom to present the popular workshop series. Reservations are appreciated and can be made at bapa.org. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the workshop begins at 7:30 p.m.

Founded in 2014, ABC is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping motivated young people prepare for professional success.  Learn more at bapa.org/the-professional-abcs/.
