The Beverly Area Planning Association (BAPA) invites you to learn more about why we love where we live. One of Chicago’s oldest grass roots community organizations, BAPA has been serving the people, businesses and organizations of Beverly/Morgan Park for 75 years. With the help of our community partners, BAPA’s staff fosters a safe, friendly, diverse and family-oriented neighborhood that’s characterized by its fascinating history and outstanding architecture. Our close-knit community has top-notch schools, growing businesses, a thriving arts and culture scene, great home values and plentiful green spaces. Whether you’re a prospective resident, current neighbor or business owner looking for resources or referrals, BAPA can help.
BAPA is hosting a candidate forum Tues., Feb. 7, at 7 pm for the newly created 22nd District Chicago Police District Council. The council will work to improve policing and public safety. Five candidates are vying for three positions in the Feb. 28 municipal elections.
Explore the health services offered in our neighborhood, and learn about the latest health research at BAPA’s first Health Summit. This free event, held at Smith Village on Thurs., Feb. 23, will provide information and resources to help you take better care of yourself and loved ones.
The Big Night was big fun! Some 300 neighbors celebrated BAPA’s 75th anniversary serving Beverly/Morgan Park. They sipped and danced to the 17-piece Outcast Jazz Band at the beautiful Vineyard Beverly, and helped raise funds to support BAPA programming.
Beverly Hills/Morgan Park is the gem of Chicago’s South Side. You can’t beat our beautiful, historic homes, rich recreational and arts resources, or the hospitality of our neighbors.
BAPA is supported by membership donations from Beverly area residents and businesses, as well as grants. Learn more about how you can help BAPA continue its valuable work in our neighborhood.
About half of BAPA’s budget comes from annual memberships from neighborhood residents and businesses.
