Playing Tribute: Bands Bring Back Sound, Experience of Top Acts

Heartache Tonight, one of Chicago’s popular tribute bands, will be performing a concert of Eagles music Saturday, Mar. 10, 8 p.m. at the Beverly Arts Center (BAC), 2407 W.111th St. The Eagles fans who are expected to pack the 400-seat Baffes Theater for the show will be fired up with nostalgia-driven excitement.

“Heartache Tonight calls their show a ‘true Eagles concert experience,” said Beverly Arts Center Artistic Director Shellee Frazee. “The band members are consummate musicians whose vocals and guitar work are so faithful to the originals, you could close your eyes think you really are at an Eagles show.”

Heartache Tonight is one of several tribute bands popular with audiences at the BAC.

“Tribute bands tend to be real crowd pleasers and a great fit for the BAC,” Frazee said.

Entertainment and nostalgia are two of the top draws for tribute band fans, who also enjoy the affordability of admission – tickets for the Heartache Tonight show at the BAC are just $25.

Heartache Tonight performs timeless classic and country rock songs of the Eagles, who they consider one of the greatest rock bands of all time. Eagles fans can expect to hear favorite tunes like “Hotel California” and “Peaceful Easy Feeling.”

The Four C Notes, Chicago’s only tribute band performing Four Seasons, will perform at the BAC Sat., Apr. 21, 8 p.m. This popular tribute band was founded by John Michael Coppola who was understudy for Frankie Valli role in “Jersey Boys.”  Coppola formed The Four C Notes and performing hits like “Rag Doll,” “Dawn” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You.” Tickets for the BAC show are $30.

Tribute bands have been around for decades and their popularity continues to increase. Venues like the BAC are perfect for music fans looking relive a rock experience or get a chance to “see” a favorite band they missed back in the day. Tribute band musicians love the original bands and they love the fans who come out to hear them play the music they know and love.

Tickets for Heartache Tonight and The Four C Notes, as well as other upcoming shows and movies, are available at the BAC, www.beverlyartcenter.org or 773-445-3838. BAC members get discounts on tickets.
