BAPA works to enhance the commercial areas of Beverly Hills/Morgan Park by:
a) promoting the neighborhood and available commercial properties to desirable developers and businesses that meet the needs of our community;
b) promoting local businesses through the Villager, the BAPA website, our enewsletters and the Shop the Village Facebook page;
c) informing the community about commercial activities; and
d) advocating to government for development and attraction of new businesses.
BAPA's Business Development and Support Committee, made up of real estate, banking, retail and economic development professionals, keeps a close watch on our commercial strips and guides BAPA's economic development efforts. They advise BAPA on redevelopment projects, on current economic conditions and offer support for our local businesses.
BAPA works hand in hand with both the 95th Street Business Association and the Morgan Park/Beverly Hills Business Association to assist current businesses and to help those looking to open in the neighborhood. Saint Xavier University has also been an important partner, working with BAPA on the annual Breakfast with your Legislators and the Breakfast with the Experts series.
BAPA manages Special Service Area #44 - 103rd Street Beverly, which funds sidewalk maintenance, snow removal, holiday decorations and various promotional activities in the 103rd Street shopping district.
