What do you get when you combine the sleuthing skills of Sherlock Holmes with the history of Beverly/Morgan Park and the fun of a healthy family outing? BAPA’s History Mystery Bike Tour, of course! The games will be afoot on Sun., Oct. 3, 12 p.m., with Ridge Historical Society (RHS), 10621 S. Seeley Ave., as the start/finish and festival location. Advocate Medical Group/Advocate Health Centers is presenting sponsor.
The event will offer different levels of challenge: a mini-mystery for youngsters, a maxi-mystery for families and individuals who want to test their physical and mental abilities, and a geo-quiz for people who would like to use a GPS to find the clue locations. The Tour entails biking throughout the community tracking down clues hidden in the architectural details on buildings or homes, or on historic markers and signs, then solving the overall history mystery puzzle. Participants will return to RHS to turn in their clues for a chance to win prizes, and to enjoy food, beverages and family activities.
