Since the late 1800s, Beverly Hills/Morgan Park on Chicago's far southwest side has provided an excellent quality of life for its residents. The Beverly Area Planning Association 2011 survey of new home buyers shows that over 24% of the neighborhood's new households earn more than $150,000 and 90% of all new buyers have college or graduate level degrees. Beverly has the 3rd highest median household income in Chicago, according to the 2000 census.
The community enjoys architecturally and historically significant housing, quality public and private schools, and excellent public transportation. Events like the Southside Irish Parade, Ridge Run 10K and Beverly Hills Cycling Classic bring thousands of visitors to the community each year.
