43rd Annual Home Tour
Sunday, May 19, 2013: Private homes significant for their architecture, history or decorating are opened for touring on the third Sunday of May for Chicagoland’s oldest annual home tour. The 42nd edition of the Beverly Hills/Morgan Park Home Tour promises the traditional array of beautifully decorated vintage homes open for visitors, as well as some surprises when doors open at 11 a.m., Sun., May 19. 36th Annual Ridge Run
Monday, May 27, 2013: Established in 1978 as a 10K through the Ridge Historic District, today the Ridge Run, held on Memorial Day, attracts about 4,000 participants and includes 10K and 5K competitive races, plus a one-mile youth run, and a non-competitive tot run. Also, introduced in 2005 is a timed 5K walk through historic Beverly/Morgan Park.

Monday, May 27, 2013: One of Chicagoland’s oldest and most charming neighborhood Memorial Day parades follows the Ridge Run and includes a ceremony honoring America’s armed services. This parade honoring the men and women in America's armed forces snakes down historic Longwood Drive.
11th Annual Beverly Hills Cycling Classic
Thursday, July 18, 2013: The International Cycling Classic stages the first thrilling race in its annual Superweek Pro-Am Tour on our hilly streets. 100k criterium for the International Pro-Am Cycling Classic, PLUS Tour de Beverly ride and Big Wheel race. Start/Finish 107th and Longwood Drive.
Music Under the Stars Sunday, August 3, 2013: Between vacations’ end and the beginning of school, families gather under the summer sky to enjoy live music, picnic fare, and a fireworks show. Doors open at 6 p.m., music starts at 7 p.m. Morgan Park Academy Grounds, 2153 W. 111th St.
History Mystery Bike Tour To Be Determined: What do you get when you combine the sleuthing skills of Sherlock Holmes with the history of Beverly/Morgan Park and the fun of a healthy family outing? BAPA’s History Mystery Bike Tour, of course! The games will be afoot in October, with Ridge Historical Society (RHS), 10621 S. Seeley Ave., as the start/finish and festival location. Snowflake Ball Winter 2014: For three decades, the Beverly Area Planning Association threw the community’s biggest party every winter, drawing neighbors out of hibernation to dance, socialize and enjoy the company of friends. After being on hiatus for several years, our young neighbors are asking to bring back The Ball. The time is right! With the help of BAPA’s Young Adult Board, the Snowflake Ball will return December 8 as a holiday event hosted at Beverly Country Club. Everyone is invited to enjoy live music, dancing, hors d’oeuvre and dessert buffets, and lots more.
